Pump.fun fees,
explained.
A trade in the pump.fun app or web app pays two layers of fees: the trading fee of the venue (the bonding curve or a PumpSwap pool) and pump.fun’s Platform Fee. A referral code changes only the Platform Fee, from 0.45% to 0.40%.

The full fee stack on a pump.fun trade
Each venue charges a creator fee, a protocol fee and an LP fee. All three are collected in the asset the coin is paired with (SOL or USDC), never in the coin itself. The Platform Fee is added on top for trades placed through the pump.fun web or mobile app.
| Fee | Bonding curve | PumpSwap canonical pool | Paid to |
|---|---|---|---|
| Creator fee | 0.30% | 0.05% to 0.95%, falling as market cap grows | The coin’s creator, or its holders or a charity if the creator opted in |
| Protocol fee | 0.95% | 0.05% (0.93% in the smallest tier) | pump.fun |
| LP fee | 0% | 0.20% (0.02% in the smallest tier) | The pool’s liquidity |
| Venue total | 1.25% | 0.30% to 1.25% | |
| Platform Fee, no code | + 0.45% | + 0.45% | pump.fun |
| Platform Fee, with a referral code | + 0.40% | + 0.40% | pump.fun, with a share to the referrer |
| Total in the app, with a code | 1.65% | 0.70% to 1.65% |
Rates for SOL- and USDC-paired coins from pump.fun’s fee page, last updated 17 October 2026. Network (gas) fees, wallet fees and fiat payment-provider fees come on top.
Coins paired with another asset (“Custom Pair coins”) use a flat schedule instead: 1.25% on the bonding curve and 0.30% on PumpSwap. Non-canonical PumpSwap pools charge 0.30% (0.05% protocol, 0.25% LP).
PumpSwap fees by market cap
When a coin graduates from the bonding curve, it gets a canonical PumpSwap pool. Its fees depend on market cap, calculated as the coin’s price in SOL or USDC times one billion tokens. The creator fee shrinks in steps as the coin grows, so total fees fall from 1.25% to 0.30%.
| Venue total | SOL-paired market cap | USDC-paired market cap | In the app, with a code |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1.25% | 0 – 420 SOL | 0 – 59,000 USDC | 1.65% |
| 1.20% | 420 – 1,470 SOL | 59,000 – 300,000 USDC | 1.60% |
| 1.00% | 4,420 – 9,820 SOL | 900,000 – 2,000,000 USDC | 1.40% |
| 0.70% | 34,380 – 39,300 SOL | 7,000,000 – 8,000,000 USDC | 1.10% |
| 0.30% | 98,240 SOL and up | 20,000,000 USDC and up | 0.70% |
Selected tiers. Pump.fun publishes the full step-by-step schedule (25 SOL tiers, 31 USDC tiers) on its fee page.
What the referral code saves
The code takes 0.05 percentage points off the Platform Fee. That is about 11% less Platform Fee, but a much smaller share of your total cost, because the venue fees don’t change.
| Trade size | Platform Fee without a code | With a code | You save | Total on the bonding curve, with a code |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| $100 | $0.45 | $0.40 | $0.05 | $1.65 |
| $1,000 | $4.50 | $4.00 | $0.50 | $16.50 |
| $10,000 | $45.00 | $40.00 | $5.00 | $165.00 |
The saving applies on every buy and every sell, so it adds up for active traders. For a new user, the welcome match of up to $50 is usually worth far more than the fee saving. See what the welcome match pays.
Fee calculator
ESTIMATEChoose the venue fee. For a PumpSwap coin between tiers, check the fee page for its exact rate.
The total is venue fees plus the Platform Fee; the referral code changes only the Platform Fee. Pump.fun fees only, at the rates published on 17 October 2026. Excludes network, wallet and payment-provider fees, price impact and slippage. Pump.fun may change the rates; the app shows the Platform Fee as a separate line before you confirm.
Where the Platform Fee doesn’t apply
- Terminal and third-party interfaces. Pump.fun doesn’t charge the Platform Fee on trades placed through Terminal or any other interface, so a referral code makes no difference there. Those interfaces may charge their own fees.
- Perpetuals. Perps trades on Hyperliquid through the app carry a builder fee of up to 0.05% of each order’s notional value instead, plus up to 0.25% on bridge transfers.
- Creating a coin. Launching a coin has no platform fee, only Solana network costs. The Platform Fee does apply to the first purchase you make when creating a coin.
- Graduation. When a coin moves from the bonding curve to PumpSwap, a flat 0.015 SOL migration fee is charged.
- EVM chains. Transactions on EVM chains, including Robinhood Chain, carry a 0.10% to 0.15% fee in addition to the Platform Fee.
Where the Platform Fee goes
Without a referral code, pump.fun keeps the whole Platform Fee. With one, part of it goes to the referrer and pump.fun keeps the rest. Pump.fun sets that share and may change it. This is how a referral guide like this one earns: trades from wallets that applied VIP50 send part of their Platform Fee to its referrer. Read our referral disclosure.
Only one code can be linked to a wallet, and pump.fun may treat the link as permanent. If you haven’t applied a code yet, existing users can usually still add one for the lower fee. The welcome match has separate rules for new users. Fee still showing 0.45%?
Apply VIP50 in the pump.fun app to trade at the 0.40% Platform Fee.
